When you bow to pray the Lord’s Prayer, you first pray, “Our Father who art in heaven.” You recognize that God is your Father who is close and intimate, who cares for you. In the second petition, you pray, “Thy kingdom come.” You recognize God as the lofty One who rules from the throne of heaven. In the third petition you pray, “Thy will be done.” You recognize God as your King who has a plan for your life. As a King, God wants to rule your life with His principles and for His purpose.
